Effective Use of Herbs: Ayurvedic Principles & Practical Considerations

Mary-Alice Quinn

Herbal medicine is not simply about what herb to take—but how, when, and for whom.

In this talk, we’ll explore what truly determines whether an herbal remedy is effective, moving beyond the pervasive modern idea of “this herb for that condition."

Drawing from Ayurvedic principles, practical insights and clinical experience, we’ll discuss how factors such as herbal energetics, plant parts, preparation and administration all influence outcomes. By reviewing these key variables and more, we’ll learn to approach each situation more skillfully and gain more confidence when choosing herbal support—rather than relying on “one-size-fits-all” recommendations, or settling for less-than-stellar results.

Whether you are new to herbal medicine or have years of clinical experience, this talk will deepen your understanding of how to work with herbs in a more intentional, individualized and effective way.

Mary-Alice Quinn is a long time teacher of Ayurveda and an expert in Ayurvedic herbalism. She holds certification as an AyD and CAS and you can find out more about her on her webpage: https://maryalicequinn.com

Held on the third Monday of each month, the webinar runs from 6 pm -7pm and recordings are available for a full month after the presentation on our CAAM Connect platform for all who register.
