Laura Plumb

January 2026:

Adaptations and Inspired Evolutions -Laura Plumb

The principles of Ayurveda are universal. The art of Ayurveda is in the application.

In addition to the sophisticated complexity of innumerable doshic permutations, there are various factors in our modern, global world that importantly affect best outcomes: Desha, or place of origin and current environment, Pitrus, or the ancestral lineage, habits, DNA, Parinama, extraordinary breakthroughs in modern medicine inspired by Ayurveda (and the Vedas generally).

With three examples from modern life, Laura will bring light to Ayurveda's immense capacity to meet the needs of individuals wherever they may be, and to inform and inspire medicine wherever it flows.

Held on the third Monday of each month, the webinar runs from 6pm-7pm PDT and recordings are available for a full month after the presentation on our CAAM Connect platform for all who register.

March 2026:

Effective Use of Herbs:  Ayurvedic Principles & Practical Considerations - Mary-Alice Quinn

Herbal medicine is not simply about what herb to take—but how, when, and for whom.

In this talk, we’ll explore what truly determines whether an herbal remedy is effective, moving beyond the pervasive modern idea of “this herb for that condition."

Drawing from Ayurvedic principles, practical insights and clinical experience, we’ll discuss how factors such as herbal energetics, plant parts, preparation and administration all influence outcomes. By reviewing these key variables and more, we’ll learn to approach each situation more skillfully and gain more confidence when choosing herbal support—rather than relying on “one-size-fits-all” recommendations, or settling for less-than-stellar results.

Whether you are new to herbal medicine or have years of clinical experience, this talk will deepen your understanding of how to work with herbs in a more intentional, individualized and effective way.

Mary-Alice Quinn is a long time teacher of Ayurveda and an expert in Ayurvedic herbalism. She holds certification as an AyD and CAS and you can find out more about her on her webpage: https://maryalicequinn.com

May 2026:

Ayurvedic Approach to Menopausal Health -
Maria Gabriela Guevara

This time of life, characterized by symptoms associated with perimenopause and menopause, is often faced with fear and trepidation. By applying Ayurvedic principles, we can see a lessening of symptoms and an embracing of this new phase of life.

Women's Health often focuses on the dramatic times of women's lives- adolescence and menstrual comfort, adulthood and fertility/pregnancy issues, and, finally, our older years and menopausal ease. This is because, as women, we are subject to the fluctuations of hormones and we want, so badly, to control them, or, at the very least, to minimize any negative impact caused by their fluctuation or cessation.

Maria Gabriela has worked with many women and seen the fruits of applying Ayurvedic principles to this transition that women make. Symptom reduction along with a more positive outlook on aging are just two of the benefits.

Support your Clients (and Yourselves) to Stop Subconscious Sabotaging! - Anumeha Gupta

As an Ayurveda professional, you may notice that some clients repeat the same patterns despite following the right diet, lifestyle, and recommendations. Often, the root cause lies at the subconscious level. Unseen beliefs and inner obligations can quietly keep your clients stuck in cycles related to health, career, relationships, and finances.

When you work on your own subconscious patterns, your capacity to guide clients deepens and their healing can move further and faster.

In this webinar, you will:

  1. Understand what subconscious sabotage and inner obligations are

  2. Learn how to identify these patterns in yourself and in your clients

  3. Experience a short demonstration of ThetaHealing

Anumeha Gupta brings her background in Ayurveda, yoga, and energy healing when she works with clients offering spiritually rooted emotional healing programs for men and women seeking deep transformation beyond talk therapy or surface-level self-help.

Join this session to expand your skills, strengthen your self-awareness, and support your clients at a deeper level.

Everyone here at CAAM wishes you a happy holiday season- and we'll start it off (or jump- in in the middle) by having a holiday meetup for anyone interested. Meet CAAM Board members and each other. I'll update this space as the event shapes up.

If you can't make it, we look forward to seeing you next year.

Until then, enjoy your Chai!

Here's a recipe for you. I prefer to keep all my herbs in cut/sifted form and grind them just when I need them. Try it. You'll thank me.

  • 3 Tbsp c/s ginger (or use fresh ginger on the day you're making chai)

  • Add ground spices (and fresh ginger/nutmeg) to ½- cup water and bring to a boil.
