[LIVE] Are Your Super-Foods Super Healthy?-Marie Amram
Please note that the time of this LIVE webinar is at 3pm PDT due to the time zone of the speaker. Sign up to watch the recording of this talk at 6pm, if you prefer.
Are your food choices the best for you? How to know what to eat?
We are often told that some foods are healthy and others are not, but we know that Ayurveda is not a one-size-fits-all science and that what one person deems healthy may be unhealthy for another.
In this month's webinar, Marie Amram, will discuss some so-called Super Foods and let us know how they may not be so super. Bring your questions about your own foods to ask this expert about their appropriateness for you and your diet.

Different Format- Chai with CAAM Holiday Meetup This Month
Read more for a Chai Spice Blend Recipe!
Everyone here at CAAM wishes you a happy holiday season- and we'll start it off (or jump- in in the middle) by having a holiday meetup for anyone interested. Meet CAAM Board members and each other. I'll update this space as the event shapes up.
If you can't make it, we look forward to seeing you next year.
Until then, enjoy your Chai!
Here's a recipe for you. I prefer to keep all my herbs in cut/sifted form and grind them just when I need them. Try it. You'll thank me.
Chai Spice Blend
4 Tbsp cinnamon chips
3 Tbsp c/s ginger (or use fresh ginger on the day you're making chai)
1 Tbsp cardamom seeds
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp nutmeg pieces (or grind up about 1/8 tsp on the day you're making chai)
1 tsp cloves
Instructions
Use about 1- 1 ½ tsp ground herbs per cup of Chai
Add ground spices (and fresh ginger/nutmeg) to ½- cup water and bring to a boil.
Boil 3 min and then allow to steep for up to 15 min.
Turn off heat. (May steep 1 black tea bag for a few minutes here if desired)
Strain out the herbs (optional)
Add ½ cup milk of your choice and sweetener if desired.
Drink warm
See you in 2027!
