Our Vision
CAAM exists to establish and grow Ayurveda as an independent profession, safeguarding the practice of Ayurveda. We strive to build awareness of Ayurveda in our communities as a comprehensive healing system for optimal health and wellbeing, honoring the interconnectedness of body-mind-spirit.
Our Mission
CAAM’s mission is to promote, protect, preserve & integrate the principles of Ayurveda through education, professional practice and research, serving to empower communities with a consciousness based approach for sustainable health & wellbeing.
Our Goals
CAAM aims to raise public awareness of Ayurveda and build a sustainable, unified community that serves as a resource and a single voice for advancing the profession. Its goals include defining the scope of practice for each professional level, standardizing Ayurvedic education in California, and setting a code of ethical standards. It also seeks to help members obtain malpractice insurance, set up a continuing education (CEU) system, and support research. Longer term, it advocates for a California state-approved license for Ayurveda practice, and it plans to keep professionals connected through newsletters, journals, events, and digital media.
