Scope of Practice
Ayurvedic Health Counselor:
This level of Ayurvedic professionals are educated and trained to guide clients in wellness and preventive health practices using Ayurvedic principles. Their scope includes dietary and lifestyle guidance, the use of culinary spices and select rejuvenating herbs, as well as the provision of bodywork therapies and basic yoga practices. These services are offered for health promotion and wellness care, in accordance with federal, California state, and applicable county and city regulations.
Ayurvedic Practitioner:
This level of Ayurvedic professionals are educated and trained to guide clients toward health and well-being through foundational education as an Ayurveda Health Counselor supplemented by additional clinical training in Ayurvedic disease pathology, Ayurvedic diagnosis and Ayurvedic disease management. Their role focuses on restoring balance in the body and mind by addressing imbalances through personalized dietary and lifestyle recommendations, herbal formulations, bodywork therapies, and yoga practices, as permitted by Federal, California.
