Chai with CAAM -April

Compassionate End of Life Care - Andrea Deerheart

It is said that “the only things certain in life are death and taxes.” What better month than April to engage in a discussion about death? As a health care provider, you will, at some time, encounter clients facing the end of their lives. Being prepared for the conversations will set both you and your client at ease. Too often, the talk of death triggers fear and is put off or avoided altogether. When you approach the topic with compassion and care, you can support the client, their loved ones, and, even yourself, to embrace this inevitable stage of life.

Please join us for this month’s Chai with CAAM where our speaker, Andrea Deerheart, will guide us in exploration of Abhinivesha, the deep-seated fear of death as described in the Yoga Sutras, and practical ways to offer compassionate support. You will learn how to integrate Ayurvedic wisdom, spiritual practices, and holistic care to help clients find peace, acceptance, and healing in their journey.

Together, we will cultivate the tools to hold space for this sacred transition with grace and presence.

Dr. Andrea Deerheart is the founder of The Heartway, an organization committed to co-creating a world in which life has more depth and meaning - because we embrace and honor the end-of-life process.
